Julie is the Office Manager for Paediatricians at Westmead. She is caring and helpful to the families who come to our practice. She oversees the administrative team and will make your experience at Paediatricians at Westmead a pleasant one. If parents have any questions, Julie is usually able to provide the answer. Julie has worked with many of the practitioners at PAW for the past 7 years and has a wealth of experience and knowledge about medical practices.

Patrina Caldwell is the founder of P.A.W. She is a consultant paediatrician who works as an Associate Professor for the Discipline of Child and Adolescent Health at the University of Sydney.

Dr. Michelle Barnes
Dr Michelle Barnes studied medicine at the University of Sydney and did her internship at Westmead Hospital. In 2005, she undertook a year in paediatrics at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and started paediatric training the following year. Michelle completed her training in general paediatrics at the Children’s Hospital Westmead in 2016. Michelle looks after children with a wide range of health and developmental concerns, including but not restricted to babies with feeding concerns, children with learning challenges, ADHD and Autism, constipation, and concerns of chronic respiratory symptoms.

Dr. Hea Ree Byun
Dr Hea Ree (Hayley) Byun is a general paediatrician who trained at The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, Westmead. Dr Byun has experience in a wide range of paediatric conditions, and has a special interest in the coordination of care for children with multiple or complex conditions, newborn and infant health, developmental paediatrics and growth and nutrition concerns. She is currently a Visiting Medical Officer working in General Medicine at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Dr Byun also speaks Korean.

Dr. Myra Poon
Dr Myra Poon is a paediatric endocrinologist who has trained at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and Great Ormond Street, London, UK. She has an appointment as a staff specialist at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She was awarded a PhD from the University of Sydney in 2015 for her study titled ” Characterising The Clinical Heterogeneity of Type 1 Diabetes”. She specialises in disorders of growth and puberty, thyroid, adrenal and pituitary disease and bone health.
Dr. Soe Thit San
Dr Soe Thit San is a general paediatrician specialising in the care of children from birth to adolescence. She respects family values and understands the many challenges associated with parenthood. Soe completed her general paediatrics training at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She is a Fellow of the Paediatric and Child Health Division of Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and a member of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioural Paediatric Society of Australasia (NPBSA). Soe speaks English and Burmese.

Sarah has almost fifteen years experience as a psychologist working across various teams and services. Sarah has provided both individual and group treatment for children and adolescents facing many different issues including anxiety, depression, stress management, adjustment to change, grief and loss, functional neurological disorders, as well as a variety of other issues.

Paediatric Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist
Gail Nankivell is a senior clinical physiotherapist with wide-ranging expertise and experience in a number of paediatric and adolescent disciplines. She has a special interest in pelvic health and the problems that may affect children as they grow.
Ms. Melissa Tam
Paediatric Clinical Psychologist
Melissa is a clinical psychologist who has worked with children, adolescents and their families at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW) since 2014. She is experienced in working with children and adolescents who have a chronic illness and also struggle with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioural problems, adjustment difficulties and family difficulties.
