Dr. Thilina Dassanayake is a General Paediatrician, and he is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Paediatricians (FRACP). Dr Dassanayake has more than 15 years of experience caring for children with acute, chronic and complex medical conditions from newborn to 17 years of age.

Dr. Dassanayake completed his paediatric training through The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. He has also worked at The Canberra, Blacktown-Mt Druitt, Hornsby, Nepean, Dubbo, Orange and Bathurst hospitals. During his training, Dr. Dassanayake has gained extensive experience in general paediatric care, neonatology, acute and emergency paediatrics, and developmental and behavioural Paediatrics.

He has a particular interest in newborn care and developmental and behavioural issues such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder and developmental delay. Dr. Dassanayake focuses on providing holistic and family-centred care and has a natural ability to build rapport with children and their families.

He is an accredited administrator of Griffiths III Developmental Scales, a validated tool for developmental assessments. He is also experienced in adaptive functional assessments to assess children’s complex developmental and behavioural needs.
